RICK & MICHONNE

We still have a long way to go for The Walking Dead spin-off Rick & Michonne, but a new video from the shoot already reveals that Rick is reaching a peaceful community.

  • “Rick & Michonne” finally brings back the popular “The Walking Dead” leader Rick Grimes.
  • The spin-off isn’t expected until 2024, but filming is already underway.
  • A new video from the set now shows Rick in a surprisingly peaceful place.

It has been known for years that we would see Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes again after his departure from “The Walking Dead”. First films were planned, this has now become a spin-off series that connects Rick with Michonne again.

Despite the long planning phase, “Rick & Michonne” is not the first spin-off that will appear after the end of “The Walking Dead” – “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” and “The Walking Dead: Dead City” have already been filmed earlier. However, the current shooting of the Rick and Michonne series is always visited by curious fans who capture their impressions on camera.

The most recent video shows Rick looking around in amazement and then walking through Millennium Park, where a small café promises an unusual idyll. The scene was shot in Hamilton Park, New Jersey, as the video reveals.

It is not clear where this scene fits in the context of the story. Does Rick find this community early on in “Rick & Michonne” or do we already see a happy ending here? If so, then where is Michonne?

We won’t find out for sure until 2024, when “Rick & Michonne” starts on AMC in the USA and on Disney+ in Germany. Until then, though, we’re sure to get some more impressions from the set that will give us a more accurate picture of the much-anticipated TWD spin-off.
