The Walking Dead: what future for the Daryl Dixon series?

Will the series derived from “The Walking Dead” universe centered on “Daryl Dixon” be renewed for an additional season?

Anticipated by fans of The Walking Dead, the spin-off series centered on Daryl Dixon completed its broadcast this Friday, December 8 at the end of its sixth episode. Insufficiently long to meet the expectations of admirers of the character played by Norman Reedus, will the series return for a season 2?

As its open ending suggests, the Daryl Dixon series was not designed to last a single season, like the mini-series The Ones Who Live expected for February 25. And it is also thanks to the success of a previous spin-off – Dead City – that Daryl Dixon was renewed for a season 2 even before the start of its broadcast!

“We are currently filming” confirmed Norman Reedus in the interview he gave us. “We are going to see Carol appear, played by the immense Melissa McBride. (…) These two stories told in parallel – that of her character, and that of mine – will intersect at an unexpected moment, in the middle of a pile of ‘other events.’

No broadcast date is currently known, but fans can maintain the hope of seeing season 2 arrive in 2024. Its filming was in fact not impacted by the actors’ strike, since it was filmed on a large scale. part in France and therefore with an actors’ union different from that which caused the interruption of filming in Hollywood.

Season 1 of Daryl Dixon can be found now exclusively on Paramount+.
