Sniper Rifles dominated Warzone at the peak of their power, but the Season 4 update made Assault Rifles the class of choice. Warzone players are now calling for a change to close the gap.
Warzone players recently claimed that sniper rifles are “useless” after the Season 4 update.
Raven Software increased sniper firepower in the Season 3 update and increased bullet speed by 4% for the KAR98k, Type 99, and 3-Line Rifle in the June 30 update .
The June 30 update also nerfed the NZ-41, but some Warzone fans are still claiming that the NZ-41 is still monstrous and snipers are still “ridiculous”.
The Kar98k is just a shadow of itself.
The Kar98k “requires” an up in Warzone
Sniper rifles have been a controversial topic for the gaming community for a long time. And it was a player who reignited the debate after he shared a clip on Reddit showing a headshot from 40 yards out not killing his opponent.
The clip sparked outrage in the comments section.
A player replied: “I don’t have sniper classes anymore because all sniper rifles suck right now. It’s a huge miss from the people running this game”.
Another person added: “Instead you get destroyed by a recoilless NZ-41, how fun! At least with sniping you had to aim for the head and you didn’t have such a forgiving magazine and such a steady rate of fire.”
Raven Software decreased NZ-41 recoil recovery by 20% in the June 30 update. The developers said: “Recoil recovery is the speed at which the screen returns to center after each shot. This change results in a noticeable difference in the intensity of the NZ-41’s recoil”.
However, the players consider this very insufficient and claim an upswing for snipers in general.
