The weather forecast for Friday, October 28: sunshine and temperatures still out of season

The weather remains very mild for the whole country, despite the maintenance of cloudy skies in the East and West.

An anticyclone remains screwed on Italy and the East of France, while the depressions turn on themselves on the Atlantic. This explains why Brittany, jutting like a peninsula into the ocean, is momentarily grazed by rains with noticeable winds. The air mass also remains warm, with probable records of high minimum temperatures and a sun that dominates the rest of the country.

The weather in your area

To the northwest, the weather is cloudy and windy on the tip of Brittany with a few showers, especially in the morning. Elsewhere, the sky is similar to the day before, temporarily cloudy, with an ever present mildness, around 16°C in the morning and 23°C in the afternoon.

For Ile-de-France and Hauts-de-France, the sky is often milky like the day before, with a pale sun, but it is still just as mild. A little wind blows on the Channel coasts, up to 65km/h on the Opal Coast. From around 15°C in the morning, there will be 22 to 24°C in the afternoon.

The Grand Est, Burgundy and Franche-Comté benefit from a brighter sun than in the West because the veil of clouds at altitude is thinner. The feeling is as pleasant as the day before. If a slight relative freshness is sometimes felt in the early morning, with some fog, it is just as mild in the afternoon, from 20°C to 24°C.

The Centre, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes enjoy a summer day. Early morning temperatures, very high for an October morning, could break records, being close to 16 to 17°C. In the afternoon, it is still 24 to 26°C with sometimes 29°C, possibly in certain valleys of Auvergne such as Clermont-Ferrand, which could reach ten-day records.

At the South West, the weather does not change: the sun remains quite veiled in a warm atmosphere, but the sun is subdued. Thus, like the day before, we may not reach 30°C, but at least 25 to 27°C. The autan wind blows moderately in its area, between the Aude and the Tarn.

At the South-East, there is no change either. The weather remains quite cloudy in Languedoc-Roussillon with the clouds of maritime entries. As a result, although it is very mild in the morning, often close to 20°C, the temperatures rise less in the afternoon (22 to 24°C).

In contrast, PACA and the Corsica benefit from good sunshine, despite coastal cloud banks on the east of Corsica and, temporarily on the Côte d’Azur.
