Good news for those who were impatiently waiting for it: the Wi-Fi 7 will be available to everyone from the start of next year.
For several weeks now, more and more providers have gradually announced support for Wi-Fi 7 for their future devices. This new standard, which will succeed Wi-Fi 6E, launched in January 2021, promises speeds up to 5 times higher than Wi-Fi 6, which was deployed in August 2019.

Wi-Fi 7 will arrive before the end of the first quarter of 2024
In recent months, rumors have particularly multiplied concerning the arrival of Wi-Fi 7 on the market and the different devices that will potentially be compatible with the new standard.
While initial rumors initially suggested that Wi-Fi 7 would perhaps not be supported by Windows 10, we subsequently learned that the standard will ultimately be included on Microsoft’s operating system. More recently, new clues pointed to support for Wi-Fi 7 by the Freebox V9.

Wi-Fi 7: what to expect?
From what we know, Wi-Fi 7 (also known as 802.11be) will achieve data rates up to 2.4 times faster than Wi-Fi 6E and up to 5 times faster than Wi-Fi 6, while offering better energy efficiency.
Wi-Fi 7 will support channels up to 320 MHz, providing a significant increase in bandwidth for ever-faster data rates. In addition, latency should be divided by 100 compared to Wi-Fi 6.
By moving from 1024-QAM to 4K-QAM, the new standard will see its transmission rates increase by 20%, which will directly affect the playback of streaming videos or even file transfers.
