The Witcher 3 has the right to a new visual update thanks to the talent of modders particularly attached to the game. It’s superb and yet, we haven’t seen anything yet since the project promises to be simply colossal.
The Witcher 3 is already a long way away, even if the “new gen” patch, a real game changer, has breathed new life into this true monument. We miss The Witcher, but CD Projekt is working hard on it. A large number of projects are under development, including a certain The Witcher 4 which should continue the timeline launched by the first trilogy, as well as a remake for the very first episode. But in the meantime, the most impatient fans continue to skim the third episode up and down. Moreover, you can now re-re-rediscover it in the most beautiful way.
The Witcher 3 totally transformed by its fans
There are tons of mods; many have also contributed to the development of the big next gen patch deployed several months ago. But for the most hardcore fans, it still wasn’t enough. Yes, fans of the franchise have once again rolled up their sleeves and gotten their hands dirty to offer new graphic mods to make the game simply stunning visually. And that’s the right word.
The Witcher 3 is already a pretty incredible game artistically. Technically, despite its alterations, it blows hot and cold a bit, but remains very pretty to the eye. The modders went even further by offering a complete update of several textures of the game in order to make it even more beautiful and more realistic. However, given the size of the project, it is good to note that this is only the first part. For now, you will only have some of the textures reworked, mainly the rock. From the smallest pebble to the large cliff, the rendering is much finer and more detailed than originally. And if you were wondering, yes, it totally changes the landscape.
A superb mod and a project that promises to be enormous
The mod in question, obviously free, is available for download on NexusMods, a real den for modders. Future updates will finally be deployed in the coming months to continue work on all of the game’s textures. The objective is clear: transform The Witcher 3 into a true graphic benchmark on PC, and it seems to be on the way there. . Well, on the other hand, on PS5 and Xbox Series, you will have to make do with the Next Gen patch already in place.

- Very high quality, detailed 4K textures, 100% respectful of history, for rocks (cliffs, mountains, etc.), stones and power stones
