The Witcher 3: Playing in first person view is possible thanks to a mod

Available since 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has recently experienced renewed interest since Netflix has adapted the adventures of Geralt de Riv in an eponymous television series, consisting of two seasons to date. Besides, along with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it is considered one of the best RPGs out there. However, there is a difference between these two video game successes: the point of view offered to the players.

Indeed, in Skyrim, players can enjoy a first-person view. Which is not the case of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, exclusively, in TPS. But that was without counting on the mods.

User crthdr recently updated his mod named “Gervant First Person”, after his dedicated page on nexusmods.com. This allows you to be in first person view during combat, journeys at the controls of Bread, but also when you are at the controls of a boat. For the moment, the cutscenes are still in third person view and the mod does not include the possibility of changing the point of view during the sequences with Ciri.

Nevertheless, Gervant First Person remains probably the most convincing mod, to date, regarding the integration of a first person point of view on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. And it’s a safe bet that its creator will update it, in the coming months, for more novelties.
