The Witcher 3 shows us its next-gen version on video, with content from the Netflix series

After months of waiting and multiple postponements, the new generation version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was finally dated by CD Project Red and will reach us within a few days. The Polish studio had given us an appointment today to take stock of the improvements to the program of this update, which was illustrated with a trailer that immediately makes you want to dive back into Geralt’s adventure. and Ciri (it must be said that we can’t resist a good shot of “the the the the the the the the the”).

Who’s ready to go back?

In this update, we will therefore find cross-save, which means you can transfer your game from any platform to another. If you started playing on PC and now want to continue on PS5, it will be possible. Speaking of the PS5 version, it will havecompatibility with the features of the DualSense controller, in particular with haptic feedback when we exchange sword blows or play sorcerer’s apprentices.

Among the other novelties, the map will be entitled to some changes with a new filter, and the use of magic will also be somewhat modified. On PS5, Xbox Series X and even on Xbox Series S, we will be able to choose between a framerate of 30 frames per second with ray-tracing, or 60 frames per second without these pretty reflections.

In addition, the free DLC related to the Netflix series will also be added. It will contain in particular the armor worn by Henry Cavill in the showbut also an alternate appearance for Dandelion, based on that of Joey Batey. Well we grant you, the resemblance is not super obvious here.

This next-gen upgrade of The Witcher 3 will be available from December 14 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. As a reminder, it will be free, and the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions will also receive all the new content from this update, apart from technical improvements.
