It’s been many months that players, fans of the Witcher universe or not, have been waiting for the next-gen update of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, to discover or immerse yourself in the adventures of Geralt de Riv. This was originally due to be released at the end of 2021 but had been postponed to 2022. That’s it, we have (finally!) its release date.
The Witcher 3 next-gen update is coming in December
Indeed, the development studio CD Projekt RED recently announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt next-gen update release date : the appointment is fixed at December 14, 2022. It is via a publication on Twitter that we learn the good news.
Thus, on this date, all players with a PC, PS4 or Xbox One version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be able to download this update for freewho brings various improvements and new content related to the Netflix series.
The next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming on December 14th, free for everyone who already owns the game.

At the moment, we unfortunately do not know more. Nevertheless, the studio CD Projekt RED gives us an appointment next week and indicates that further details as well as gameplay will be shared during a REDstream. Of course, we will keep you informed as soon as new information is revealed.
As a reminder, in September 2020, CD Projekt RED announced that physical PS5 and Xbox Series editions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt were also planned. For the moment, we do not yet have their release date but they will certainly arrive after the launch of the next-gen update.
