After the prequel “Legacy of Blood”, a new spin-off of the Netflix series “The Witcher” has started filming with Dolph Lundgren in one of the main roles!
Surprise, a new spin-off from The Witcher has just started filming! While the third season of the adventures of the witcher will soon be broadcast on Netflix (part 1 on June 29, part 2 on July 27), this new series which has not yet been officially announced by Netflix has just been mentioned during an interview by Dolph Lundgren.
The icon of action cinema of the 80s has indeed revealed to our Swedish colleagues ofAftonbladet to have started in South Africa the shooting of a new series derived from The Witcher, without it being specified to us whether it will be a prequel or a sequel to the main program.
In remission from lung cancer diagnosed in 2015, Dolph Lundgren is currently in high demand by Hollywood studios, since he has just completed the filming of two highly anticipated films: The Expendables 4 and Aquaman 2.
The actor is also announced in the casting of a spin-off of the saga Creed, a project at the origin of a falling out with his old friend Sylvester Stallone.
Remember that a prequel dedicated to the story of the very first witcher (or rather the first witcher) has already seen the light of day, under the title of The Blood Legacy. This mini-series of four episodes did not meet with success, however, with a disastrous critical reception and calamitous viewer returns.
The Witcher series is adapted from fantasy novels written by Andrzej Sapkowski, adapted into video games by the Polish studio CD Projekt RED. The story follows the adventures of a mutant demon hunter Geralt of Rivia, his adopted daughter Ciri and Yennefer of Vengerberg, a magician with a troubled past.
The first two seasons of The Witcher and its prequel mini-series Blood Origin are available now on Netflix.
