The Witcher: A new spin-off series would be in production at Netflix

With Henry Cavill’s hasty departure from the main series, one would have thought that the team dedicated to producing the show The Witcher would take the time to properly review its plans and ensure a smooth transition between season 3 and season 4. But here we are at Netflix, and like any SVOD platform that has a working license, The Witcher will continue to be declined in all sauces, even the most tasteless.

Well, it’s starting to do a lot here.

It is the site Redanian Intelligence, specialized in everything related to the series, which tells us thata new spin-off is in the works. After the origins of the first Witcher with Blood Origin (a mini-series that will air this Christmas), Netflix would now have decided to explore the history of the Rats group. Yes, we are there.

For those who do not know this group, it is roughly Robin Hood version The Witcher (therefore with less good heart and altruism), who crossed paths with Ciri during her epic. The latter has joined the Rats, and we spare you the rest of their adventures, so as not to spoil you too much this future (and still hypothetical) series. It’s not yet known if Freya Allan, who plays Ciri in the main series, will be in attendance, but this show is intended to air between season 3 and 4 of the main series.

It is said that this series is currently in pre-production, with Haily Hall as showrunner, after having worked on a few episodes of the series. The Witcher. The series could be shot in South Africa according to information from the site.

This information is not yet verified and will therefore be taken with caution, even if Redanian Intelligence has proven to be reliable in the past.
