netflix is far from done with The Witcher. So while waiting for the next season, fans of the franchise will have the opportunity to appreciate (or not) a small spin-off which will land at the end of the year.
The news is, to say the least, burning around the famous witcher. First, a PS5/Xbox Series X|S update will arrive for The Witcher 3 from December 14, 2022. A remake of the first opus and a real fourth episode are also in development. On the side of the small screen, season 3 will be launched in 2023 and a fourth has already been announced. The origins of a legend
Indeed, Netflix will broadcast from December 25 a mini-series of four episodes entitled The Witcher: Blood Origin. Exit Geralt de Riv and make way for a brand new cast for this story which takes place 1,200 years before that of the main series. We will follow seven warriors banished from the elven world who will have to join forces to bring down an overpowering empire. Last week, the SVoD service released a rather interesting long trailer (and with a little surprise at the end).
As always, avoid viewing the video in question if you wish to avoid spoilers. Henry Cavill will return as Geralt next summer. He will then hand over his role to Liam Hemsworth for future seasons. An announcement that had not only made people happy… To be continued!
