“The Witcher” from Netflix gets a new anime project after “Nightmare of the Wolf”

“The Witcher” became a huge success for the streaming service Netflix in no time at all. Fans can finally expect season 2 of the fantasy saga in mid-December 2021. As an appetizer, since August you have had the anime “The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf”, an offshoot of the show that deals with Geralt’s mentor Vesemir busy, see.

While you will definitely see Henry Cavill again as Geralt von Rivia in the new episodes, the sequel to the anime has not yet been clarified. Although it has been known for a long time that “Nightmare of the Wolf” will get a sequel, one of the executive producers of the “The Witcher” series has now announced details.

Tomek Baginski, reassured that a new anime was in the works and that they were already thinking about what it could be about. In an interview with the online magazine We Got This Covered, however, he did not want to reveal any information about a possible plot.

We are still at a very early stage. I recently read the first draft. It is based on one of the stories we know from the world of ‘The Witcher’. So the source comes completely from the novels of Andrzej Sapkowski, but which story it is, I would prefer to keep that a secret at the moment.
