The Witcher: These are the 5 best films by Liam Hemsworth

Liam Hemsworth takes on the role of Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher. The change is coming in the fourth season. Hemsworth is known to many from the “Hunger Games” films or from his marriage to singer Miley Cyrus.

Liam Hemsworth has acting in his blood and comes from a successful acting family. His brother Chris Hemsworth in particular has shone in his role as Thor in the Marvel Universe in recent years. The Dressmaker (2015)

Seamstress Myrtle “Tilly” Dunnage has been forced to leave her home village after being accused of murder. After a successful career as a seamstress in Europe, she returns to the Australian village of Dungatar to take care of her mother. She convinces the residents of her sewing skills and approaches the attractive teddy bear. Instead of reconciliation, however, she has revenge in mind.

In this comedy-drama, Liam Hemsworth plays Teddy, who becomes involved with Tilly, played by Kate Winslet (“Avatar: The Way of Water”). The film is based on Rosalie Ham’s gothic novel of the same name.

Empire State (2013)

When Katniss Everdeen replaces her little sister, Primrose, the fight against injustice begins.

The Hunger Games film series is based on the best-selling novel series by author Suzanne Collins and has been a huge hit.

In addition to Jennifer Lawrence (“No Hard Feelings”) as Katniss Everdeen, Liam Hemsworth plays his most successful role to date as Katniss’ childhood sweetheart Gale Hawthorne, who fights at her side in all films.

The Duel (2016)

In the late 19th century, the badly battered bodies of Mexican immigrants are repeatedly found in the Texas-Mexico border region. One day the son of a Mexican general is found among them.

So the government sends young Texas Ranger David Kingston to go undercover for answers. During his search he meets the seedy preacher Abraham, who is in control of the place. Kingston also has an old score to settle with him.

“The Duel” is a western directed by Kieran Darcy-Smith, with a screenplay by Matt Cook. The film stars Liam Hemsworth as David Kingston. Joining him are Woody Harrelson (“Zombieland 2”) as Abraham Brant, Emory Cohen (“The OA”) as Isaac Brant, and Alice Braga as Marisol Kingston.

The Expendables 2 (2012)

Joining the Expendables in this film are new members Billy the Kid and Maggie. Together with them they accept an assignment from Mr. Church, who promises easy money. But then the whole plan goes haywire and one of them is killed. Her new goal: revenge. Seeking revenge, they uncover a conspiracy that could change the world forever.

“The Expendables 2” is the sequel to the exciting action series from 2010. It boasts a solid star cast: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger are to see. Liam Hemsworth takes on the role of newcomer Billy the Kid.

Many “The Witcher” fans resent the creators of the Netflix series that Henry Cavill is leaving the series. Whether Liam Hemsworth can prove himself in the role of Geralt of Rivia remains to be seen. Season 4 filming has been postponed, potentially pushing The Witcher’s release date to 2025.
