The 2023 Razzie Awards ceremony has delivered its verdict! Like every year before the Oscars, the Golden Raspberries reward the worst films. Discover the unfortunate winners of the 2023 edition!
The Razzie Awards ceremony, which rewards the worst film production each year, has given its verdict for this 2023 edition, the 43rd in history!
As usual, the big “losers” of the Golden Raspberries were revealed the day before the Oscars ceremony. This will take place on March 12.
Blonde, a Marilyn Monroe biopic released on Netflix, is the big loser with the Raspberries for worst film and worst screenplay. The organizers were not kind to Jared Leto, who won a second statuette in a row.
After being “crowned” worst actor in a supporting role last year for House of Gucci, he won this time the Golden Raspberry for the worst actor for his performance in Morbius.
Tom Hanks takes it for his rank too with two Razzies: worst supporting actor for Elvis and worst screen duo with his “latex-laden face and ridiculous accent.”
On the actress side, the Razzies make amends and reward themselves with a Golden Raspberry for having made the mistake of naming a 12-year-old actress (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) in the worst actresses before retracting in the face of the controversy.
After apologizing, the organizers set the age limit of 18 for future nominations. As for Adria Arjona, she is “sacred” worst actress in a supporting role for Morbius.
Note that the Redemption Razzie was awarded to Colin Farrell for his unanimously acclaimed performance in The Banshees of Inisherin.
