Since its release, the Xbox Series S has regularly made headlines following statements from developers frustrated by its technological delay compared to the current generation. If the console is experiencing phenomenal commercial success, it must be admitted that its performance is more like that of a portable console than that of a real home console released in 2020. To do this, the manufacturer has developed a small screen, simply called xScreen. The latter measures 11.6 inches and displays a definition of 1080 p at 60 Hz, all with a brightness of 350 which makes it perfectly usable outdoors. By plugging it directly into the console’s USB port, it directly takes on the appearance of a laptop PC, except that you will have to remember to plug the machine into the mains. However, you will need to be connected to a WiFi network to download content and play online, because the accessory takes up space in the Ethernet port. Still, the promise of a portable console is only half-fulfilled. Despite its flaws, the screen also has some qualities.
For example, the screen offers a special overlay for FPS games, or even integrated controls to access settings and volume. Be careful though, it seems that the accessory has some in its belly at this level, which could be a nasty surprise for your ears if handled incorrectly.
