The Young and the Restless: Is Chance really dead?

In “The Young and the Restless”, Abby has just learned of the tragic death of her husband, Chance. But Victor and Ashley’s daughter refuses to believe in his death… Is she right or is she in total denial? Here is the answer…

In The Young and the Restless, Abby’s dream life turned into a nightmare… While the character played by Melissa Ordway had found love thanks to Chance, the couple had to face many trials these last months.

Did Chance really die in “The Young and the Restless”?

Planning to have a family naturally, the young people realized that it would be very difficult for them to conceive a child. So, Mariah (Camryn Grimes, who remembered a storyline that made her uncomfortable) volunteered to become their surrogate mother and Devon (Bryton James) agreed to donate to them of sperm. Except Chance has been called on a secret mission far from Genoa City!

Because of this twist of fate, Nina’s son (Tricia Cast, who designates who she would like to see again in the series) was not able to follow the pregnancy and Abby found herself alone in this important stage of their life together. In addition, the daughter of Victor (Eric Braeden) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) lived for many weeks in anguish when Mariah, almost full-term, was kidnapped!

Luckily, Cassie’s twin was found and Chance and Abby’s son Dominic was born perfectly healthy. Unfortunately, terrible news then reached the latter… Christine (Lauralee Bell) revealed to her that her husband died because of an explosion that occurred while he was on exercise.

Conner Floyd becomes the new Chance

Thus, in the episodes of The Young and the Restless currently broadcast on TF1 (the cult soap opera is offered on the channel from Monday to Friday at 11 a.m.), Abby has been totally dejected since she discovered that her husband died on the forehead. However, the main interested party also remains convinced deep within herself that her loved one is in fact alive… But is this really the case?

In the next parts of the series, viewers of the front page will in fact discover that Chance did not succumb during this attack! He will therefore return home in a few days and be reunited with his loved ones, Abby and their newborn.

On the other hand, the protagonist will no longer be played by Donny Boaz who previously played the role, nor by his temporary replacement Justin Gaston. This time, the hero will be played by Conner Floyd, whom the public may have seen in a few small-scale TV films.

Recruited at the end of 2021 (a gap of around three years exists between the American broadcast on CBS and the French broadcast on TF1), the actor still appears today in the credits of The Young and the Restless in the United States. After being played by several people, Conner Floyd seems to have convinced the producers of American fiction to keep him… and that’s good!
