The Young Farmers union will lift its blockades by Saturday noon but plans to resume them at the beginning of next week, announced its general secretary, Pierrick Horel, on RMC.

“Overall we are going to lift the blockages by this noon and resume them at the beginning of next week,” said the representative of the union which, associated with the FNSEA, represents the majority of the profession.

“We need to rest, we also need to readjust the strategy that we are going to adopt for next week,” explained Pierrick Horel.

Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced on Friday measures intended to appease the anger of the agricultural world: abandonment of the increase in the tax on non-road diesel (GNR), inflated compensation for breeders affected by MHE cattle disease (hemorrhagic disease epizootic), heavy sanctions against three agri-food manufacturers not respecting the Egalim laws on prices.

But the boss of the FNSEA, Arnaud Rousseau, for his part called for “continuing this mobilization”.

The Minister of Agriculture Marc Fesneau, for his part, promised other measures on Saturday, particularly in viticulture.
