A woman stole two waiter’s wallets on Wednesday in Radstadt and in Pongau. After an unsuccessful search, the young lady and her accomplices were finally caught.
A young lady from Romania was on a thief train on Wednesday in Salzburg’s Pongau. The woman initially stole a waiter’s wallet from an inn in Radstadt. The staff noticed the theft immediately, but the perpetrator could not be caught for the time being. A search for the getaway vehicle, a car with French license plates, was initially unsuccessful. Car prevented escape A few hours later, the thief was up to mischief again, in another inn in Werfen. Here, too, the Romanian stole the wallet of a service worker. Again, the waitress working there noticed the theft immediately and ran after the woman. But this time the escape should not succeed. An approaching car blocked the escape vehicle’s path. The police were subsequently able to arrest three Romanian nationals aged 19, 23 and 25 and take them to the police detention center in Salzburg. Since there have been other similar incidents in the past few days, further investigations are being carried out.
