According to the leaker Majin Buwhich has already revealed interesting details about the USB-C connection of the iPhone 15, the USB-C cable of the iPhone 15 would unfortunately be limited to a transfer speed in USB 2.0, either limited to 480 Mb / s or 60 MB/s.
There is still hope, however, for the Pro models, for which Ming-Chi Kuo argued that their cable would benefit from a better transfer speed. This would be particularly useful on these smartphones, which remain references in video and which therefore need a good transfer speed. The analyst suggests that the Pro models would support USB 3.2, allowing a transfer speed of 20 Gb / s (or 2.5 GB / s).

Already, he invalidates a previous rumor that there would be an accessory identification chip requiring an official Apple cable. Good news, therefore, which will avoid transforming the transition from iPhone to USB-C into a headache to differentiate between good and bad cables. It’s always about winning ecologically too, because you can use a USB-C cable from another brand if this happens to be true.
Another interesting information, the cable would be thicker and more resistant than the previous one in USB-C to Lightning. We also note that it would support the Power Delivery 3.0 standard, allowing it to output up to 60W and therefore to charge a MacBook for example.
