Microsoft Edge version 126 is now available in the Beta channel of the Edge Insider program. This update brings many new features, including an AI-powered theme generator, security improvements, and summary notifications with Copilot in the address bar.
Microsoft Edge, the default browser in Windows 11, continues to evolve with innovative features. Recently, the stable version integrated real-time translation and dubbing of videos on various platforms, including YouTube, using the Copilot AI assistant. This feature allows videos to be translated and dubbed in real time, thus improving accessibility and understanding of content. At the same time, Microsoft introduced enhanced drafting capabilities and handwriting options with digital pens.
There version 126 of Microsoft Edge is now available in the Edge Insider Program Beta Channel, where users can try out the latest features before their public release. To access it you can go to the official website of the platform, download and install the latest version. And among the new features, we find a AI theme generator which allows you to customize the appearance of the browser with images generated from textual descriptions.
Microsoft Edge 126 is full of AI but also security
In addition to the theme builder, version 126 of Microsoft Edge brings security improvements thanks to to the browser management service. Administrators can now use a dedicated interface to manage security settings of their users’ browsers. This feature is currently in public preview and can be enabled by opting for the targeted version in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
Another novelty is the summary notification with Copilot. When users navigate to a page compatible with reading mode, a notification in the address bar prompts them to open this AI assistant in the sidebar to display a summary of the content.
