Coming on stage to perform a classic by Jacques Brel, “Ne moi pas pas”, the young man unfortunately failed to seduce Florent Pagny, Matt Pokora, Mika and Zazie. Yet, seven years after this failurethe Corsican singer decided to try his luck once again in the famous TF1 telecrochet by presenting himself with confidence to the blind auditions of the thirteenth seasonbroadcast this Saturday February 24, 2024.

Now 29 years oldOdem therefore presented himself this time in the competition s The Voicewith a more contemporary title: the magnificent “Habibi” by the Belgian-Egyptian singer-songwriter and musician Tamino. A choice that obviously hit the mark since all the jurors rotated their chairs scarlet. Zazie particularly amused the public by discovering the candidate with amazement:“I think I’ve seen it before”, she said to her colleagues, trying to put a name to the face of the twenty-year-old with the azure gaze.
“It’s crazy”: Odem creates a surprise
Vianney, impressed by Odem’s performance, did not fail to make it known: “I found you extremely gracious.” For his part, and after a few minutes of reflection, the interpreter of “I am a man” managed to identify Odem and was full of praise for the “revenant”: “It’s crazy the progress you’ve made, it’s amazing. […] I think we need people like you, who can transcend sadness, it will disarm us and I think we need that right now.”

Impressed, the former companion of musician Philippe Paradis also reminded the other jurors the sad fate of the Southerner in 2017: “No one turned around.” Coming out from behind the scenes to congratulate Odem on his happy return, Nikos Aliagas gave the moral of this lovely story : “Conclusion: There is no fatality.”

Questioned by TF1 ahead of his performance inThe Voice 2024Odem returned to his first stint in the program. At the time, his defeat had left him with a bitter tasteas he detailed to our colleagues: “I was a fiery kid who really wanted it and didn’t get it.”

Asked by those around him to try your luck again on the small screen, Odem ended up giving in. “When I was a bartender, I sang behind the counter all the time. Customers asked me why I didn’t participate in The Voice”, he told TF1. And to continue: “Proud as a lion, I said I would never do the show again. Then the opportunity presented itself, I was a little perplexed at first, but why turn down an opportunity? I went there and I think I did well.” Never say neveris not it ?
