“There was something new”: the Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès affair about to experience a huge rebound?

More than eleven years after the killing of the Dupont de Ligonnès family, Xavier is still nowhere to be found. But one of his relatives, who thinks he is alive, says the investigation could make a big step forward.

For eleven years, the mystery has been total. What happened to Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès? Suspected of the fivefold murder of his wife and four children, the Nantais disappeared on April 15, 2011. Seen for the last time in Roquebrune-sur-Argens, in the Var, he has since remained untraceable. If some think he committed suicide, others are convinced that Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès is still alive. This is particularly the case of his friend Bruno de Stabenrath. “A body, it is found”explains the author of L’Ami Impossible in the columns of Gala. According to him, the alleged murderer was “someone who was on the side of life” who would have “do a reset”. “All of a sudden he reprogrammed himself. He had a lot of problems and all of a sudden he found himself light like when he was 18he thinks he knows. And there, everything was possible again. He reprogrammed a life, without attachment, without debt, shame, fear. But eleven years later how is he?

Bruno de Stabenrath, who has had no news from his friend for more than ten years, is convinced that the case is about to experience a major rebound. “I think Act I is what’s been going on since Xavier disappeared on April 15, 2011. And we’ll have Act II shortly. Act II is ‘arrest of Xavier’, he added to our colleagues. And if the police thought they had found Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès in Glasgow, before realizing they had the wrong people, there is hope. Car for Bruno of Stabenrath “there was something new” : “But it takes a lot of time to cross-reference the information and above all, I’m afraid it will bring a lot of suffering. Imagine the shock if it reappears…” Besides, the friend of the alleged family murderer thinks he knows where he’s been hiding for all these years. “I think he’s looking at the internethe added to Gala. So I think he read my book and he knows everything.”

Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès “is not on Interpol file”

“Besides, it should reassure him to know that no one is looking for him. There is no extradition, there is no Europol file, he is not on Interpol, he is not part of of the 50 or even 100 wanted criminals, explained Bruno from Stabenrath. So there is just in Nantes, a small cell which, from time to time, puts the family on the phone. To me, he’s smart enough to know if he’s safe enough where he’s hiding.” Like him, the sister of Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès is convinced that he is alive. “Christine is not only convinced that her brother is alive but she is also convinced that we do not know the reality of the material technical findings”, assured his lawyer, Maître Stéphane Goldenstein, the lawyer for the mother and sister of Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, on RTL.
