The manufacturer’s first touch pad is currently being tested in India, but there is still no indication that the product could reach the Old Continent.

OnePlus has made a name for itself with its family of smartphones and has since tried to diversify, particularly in the market for wireless headphones or connected watches with the OnePlus Watch.

OnePlus is currently testing its first touchscreen tablet

If the manufacturer has been at the heart of the news in recent days, with the presentation of its latest OnePlus 11, it would be in the midst of finalizing a brand new product.

We’ve been talking about a OnePlus tablet for a long time. That’s good, this product is currently in the test phase in India under the code name “Aries”. A handpicked few lucky users may have had a copy in their hands, and their feedback will help OnePlus fix the latest software issues.

The choice of India is not insignificant. The country is one of the most important markets for the brand. It is also rumored that the product could be launched at the same time as the OnePlus 11R smartphone, a model which should be presented next July and only marketed in this country.

A mid-range tablet that could be inspired by that of OPPO

The choice of name would not yet be decided at OnePlus, which would hesitate between OnePlus Pad and OnePlus Tab. Regarding the technical sheet, this touch pad should be positioned in the mid-range and could look a lot like the OPPO Pad Air that we tested at the end of last year. No wonder once again, since OnePlus is a subsidiary of OPPO.

As a reminder, the OPPO Pad Air offers a 10.3-inch 2K LCD screen with a 60Hz refresh rate, 4 speakers, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, 128 GB of SSD storage and a 7,100 mAh battery with autonomy estimated by us at 18 hours. OnePlus could start from this technical base to offer a slightly updated product as well as an update of its OxygenOS overlay, this time dedicated to large screens.

It is currently uncertain whether the brand will decide to offer its product in other markets, but it has nevertheless registered the OnePlus Pad brand in Europe in 2021. The sign of an international launch? The future will tell.
