‘There’s no place for me in Westeros’: Henry Cavill liquidates House of the Dragon rumors

Following the announcement of his departure from ‘The Witcher’, Henry Cavill denies rumors that he would join ‘House of the Dragon’.

As you know, season 4 of The Witcher will be without Henry Cavill. The surprise announcement shocked fans over the weekend as it was learned that Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth will now play Geralt of Rivia.

Resumption of his role as Superman or creative dispute with showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich, rumors are rife. The latest? Henry Cavill has reportedly been tapped to join the cast of the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon.

However, Henry Cavill has already stepped in. Indeed, as reported by the Winter is Coming site, the actor brought up the subject in a recent interview with Josh Horowitz for the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast.

To be honest, when I was watching House of the Dragon, I was like, ‘I feel like a lot of these guys could make really good Witchers. I think it would be cool to be in Westeros, really. I don’t think there’s a place for me there, though.

Alas, so it looks like Henry Cavill won’t be joining House of the Dragon anytime soon although it’s not completely impossible, especially if the series keeps going and ends up exploring different periods of Targaryen history, like hinted showrunner Ryan Condal.

The fans, themselves, already imagine Henry Cavill in the skin of Aegon the Conqueror if a small jump in the past is envisaged. It must be said that the long white hair looks great on her: on good terms…

If you can’t see the actor in the HBO series, you can find him one last time as Geralt de Riv in season 3 of The Witcher, which will be released in the summer of 2023. The first 2 seasons of the show are they are available on Netflix.
