Thermomix TM6: Vorwerk ensures that the advisor remains at the heart of the sales experience


The Vorwerk Thermomix TM6 has recently been available for sale online directly on the Vorwerk website. However, the manufacturer of the famous robot cooker ensures that the advisor remains at the heart of the Thermomix experience.

After having marketed its Thermomix for 50 years in direct sales, Vorwerk is developing its economic model by offering its robot-cooker for sale online, directly from the e-shop. Indeed, we discovered by chance that it was now possible to add a Thermomix TM6, as well as all the accessories that accompany it, directly in a basket, and this without necessarily going through the demonstration of an advisor.

In the process, Vorwerk nevertheless nuanced this remark by affirming that “the demonstration and the advisor remain at the heart of the customer experience“. Jean-Sébastien Clément, group communication manager, also specifies that “every customer is automatically linked to an advisor no matter what, even after the purchase. It is always possible to benefit from a free workshop, (organized at home or virtually), which remains at the heart of Vorwerk’s DNA“. For Clara Even-Lemarié, e-commerce & digital communication director: “The key to the success of our Kobold and Thermomix brands lies in the involvement of advisors in the sale, whatever the channel, before and after the purchase“.

If we had predicted that the success of virtual demonstrations (which represented almost half of Thermomix TM6 sales in 2020) would push Vorwerk to open its Thermomix TM6 to online sales, Jean-Sébastien Clément also adds that “this evolution of the site dates from the end of the year: the digital transformation was planned for a long time and the health crisis accelerated things. It was neither an obligation nor a constraint but a moment of acceleration“.
