These 10 professions that have started to recruit since deconfinement: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

“Covid-19: 22% think they should fire in the coming months”, title The Parisian Thursday May 21, 2020. “For all economists, the worst is ahead of us…” warns at the same time Le Figaro. The economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic are expected. And for good reason: many French companies, whatever their size, have seen their turnover fall since the start of the crisis. State aid – State guaranteed loan, partial unemployment, deferral of charges, etc. – allowed them to be anesthetized. But will they allow them to get up and survive? While the French continue to fear a gradual deconfinement, the time for taking stock is also coming gradually. An assessment that frightens many residents of France. Not everything is black. As revealed Capital Wednesday, May 20, some companies, which had frozen their hires during confinement, “Have already started recruiting again.” Our colleagues have thus investigated, in collaboration with the job vacancies platform Glassdoor, to bring out the ten trades for which recruitments have picked up the most since the beginning of May.

The trades experiencing the strongest resumption of recruitments between April and early May

“The coronavirus pandemic has had a severe impact on recruitments”, analyzes Marie Mure-Ravaud, career expert at Glassdoor. “The number of job offers published dropped drastically at the start of confinement, between March and April. Almost all sectors have been affected, with the exception of a few, such as health. ” But the good days could return for certain trades. Glassdoor has selected jobs with more than 50 active offers as of May 18, 2020 and having grown by more than 50% between April and May. "It is therefore not necessarily here the trades which recruit the most currently, but those which experienced the strongest growth, and therefore the strongest recovery, of recruitments between April and early May", specify our colleagues. The trades that are experiencing a better rebound? Those of commercial. “This is not surprising since the commercial function is directly linked to turnover and must in essence adapt to market developments. In addition, it is a dynamic function with many job opportunities ”, explains Marie Mure-Ravaud.

Here, then, are the ten trades that saw their number of job openings increase significantly over the period.
