These 5 effective tips for cleaning your windows without leaving streaks

Real chore of housework, cleaning windows is essential to restore their shine.

And contrary to popular belief, many ecological alternatives exist to do without chemicals. CNEWS therefore offers you five natural and practical tips to keep your windows shiny.

Newsprint

Newspaper is an excellent absorbent, easily removing lint. It is effective for cleaning windows and glass, in addition to a little water sprayed on the surface.

white vinegar

White vinegar is particularly effective in erasing fingerprints or marks left by rainwater. Beyond its stain-removing and cleaning properties, the product is ecological and inexpensive.

To obtain a perfect mixture, you must dilute a quarter of a liter of white vinegar in three quarters of a liter of water. The solution created must then be sprayed on the glass using a spray and cleaning is done with a sponge. For drying, use a microfiber cloth.

black soap

Liquid black soap is a perfect ally for removing dirt and smudges from glass.

To make it, pour 2 tablespoons of black soap into 750 ml of hot water and add 20 drops of “tea tree” essential oil (also called tea tree). Then shake the mixture and let it cool.

Note also that this solution does not require rinsing.

lemon juice

Lemon juice has many benefits thanks to its role as a descaler, stain remover and degreaser.

Combined with newspaper, the mixture of lemon juice and hot water provides excellent results on windows. Just rub, no need to rinse or dry with a dry cloth after use.

Marseille soap

Combined with Blanc de Meudon, a fine white chalk-based powder, Marseille soap has proven itself on glass surfaces.

To obtain an adequate cleanser, boil 300ml of water and pour, off the heat, 200 grams of Meudon white wine and 20 grams of Marseille soap flakes. The resulting product must be mixed in the pan to obtain a homogeneous solution.
