An Apple enthusiast has revisited some of the brand’s wallpapers for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Thanks to Midjourney, he was able to recreate these images in the style of the painter Vincent Van Gogh. The result is simply magnificent.
This fan of the brand had already shared with us a wallpaper inspired by the invitation card from Apple’s previous keynote. Basic Apple Guy returns this time with wallpapers Van Gogh style », from wallpapers offered by Apple, but created by Midjourney.
How to create wallpapers with Midjourney by imitating Van Gogh
Basic Apple Guy recently posted a wallpaper pack on his blog featuring four designs, all of which are available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Already known for posting a wallpaper mixing the model Big Sur with The starry Night of the Dutch painter, he repeated the experience, always relying on an artificial intelligence, in this case Midjourney. He explains that the success was so great that his access to Google Drive, on which he had published the images, had been interrupted for several hours.
In his post, Basic Apple Guy explains that “ each featured image is the end result of hundreds of creative queries, iterations and variations provided to Midjourneybefore he was satisfied. Subsequently, he enlarged, refined and textured the images generated in Pixelmator Pro before cropping them correctly for each aspect ratio and screen size.
The result is there: Basic Apple Guy says that ” it’s kind of magical to have software that can create these unique and beautiful works based on text queries alone. The rise of AI technologies in recent years has provided exciting (and slightly unsettling) glimpses of new tools for creative development that were previously unimaginable. »

The first model is a revisit of Big Surnamed Big Sur Take II. Basic Apple Guy clarifies that he based himself on the series Wheatfield of the painter, which gave ” this amazing and vibrant wheat field at sunset with rolling hills in the distance.»
The second wallpaper is called ” The starry mountain lion», inspired by the wallpaper of OS X 10.8, mountain lion which represents the galaxy NGC 3190 some 79 million light-years from us.
