The first step into the blockchain world is to set up a virtual wallet, the so-called wallet. One of the most user-friendly entry points: the browser wallet. The bridge to the web3

The browser wallet is intended to become the gateway for the Internet of the future, Web3. The vision: Users get back control over their data and earn money from the digital business models. The concept now inspires millions of users. And more and more platforms are following the trend. Usage is usually free.

These options exist

One of the most promising browser wallets comes from Brave. The company was founded in 2016 by Brendan Eich, an internet pioneer and inventor of Mozilla Firefox. The wallet is self-custodial, which means that only the user has access to the data as long as they have the password.

If you change your computer or uninstall the app, you can use the seed phrase to restore all data. Brave works with different blockchains and also allows trading with NFTs. You receive Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for watching advertisements. Your own attention can be monetized.

Other prominent representatives include MetaMask and Trust Wallet. They are also self-custodial and work with different blockchains. In all three cases, the registration process and use are particularly beginner-friendly. At the same time, the providers promise a high level of protection against hackers etc. But if you want to be absolutely secure, you have to use a so-called hardware wallet. It is the Fort Knox of crypto because it is not connected to the Internet and therefore does not allow access from outside. However, it is therefore rather unsuitable for daily transactions.
