Finding the right lipstick can be an odyssey. Good thing there are some classics that suit every skin tone. As the saying goes? One for all and all for one!

Gloss and go

We feel catapulted back to the 90s, although the history of lip gloss goes back several decades: Max Factor developed one of the first glosses in the early 30s to conjure up a seductive shimmer on the lips of actresses. Whether applied alone or over your favorite lipstick: the little helper is now part of the standard equipment and is especially good in the warm season and in everyday life. The lightness of gloss rounds off subtle summer make-up. By the way, you can recognize a high-quality lip gloss by the fact that it doesn’t leave a sticky feeling or pull strings.

Barely there

Admittedly… here “one for all” is no child’s play. Finding the right shade for yourself is probably the biggest challenge next to the right foundation – both are dependent on the color of the skin and the undertone. But when push comes to shove, a supposed bad buy without the possibility of a return does not mean the end. If the lipstick is too light, it helps to outline the lips first with a darker lip liner and then to mix both shades together by pressing and rubbing. Too dark? Dab lightly, apply gloss and off you go!

Red Hot Chili

Confidence, energy, power. And always in vogue. The ideal red for all skin tones ranges from fiery red to apple candy red. This leaves plenty of room for variation: for example, a black lip liner provides more fullness with the ombre look. Perfect for date nights or colder fall days. If you prefer the kissable mouth matt, you have to pay attention to the care. Since a lot of moisture is removed, lip scrubs and masks should be used as a precaution.
