These bad habits that we have before sleeping

Bad habits we all have. However, you will no longer have any reason to continue reproducing the ones we will quote below.

1. Do not remove makeup

Over the course of a day, our skin is constantly attacked, whether by pollution, UV rays from the sun, makeup … This is why it is so important to pamper it. Skipping the makeup removal step is not a good idea. Taking time to remove impurities from your face is essential to have beautiful skin. In which case, hello imperfections, pimples and premature aging! Every evening, we arm ourselves with our favorite makeup remover – whether it be micellar water, oil, balm, milk or makeup removing gel – and we remove all traces of makeup. And of course, coming home late is no excuse to forget this step.

2. Leave our hair loose

Many people leave their hair detached to sleep. Bad idea ! Before heading into Morpheus' arms, tie your hair with a loose braid for example. There is no better way to keep your hair clean for as long as possible (and this is especially true during the summer, when we sweat more). Tying your hair up while sleeping also has the advantage of avoiding knots!

3. Look at his phone

We all do it: spend time on social media right before going to sleep. But the blue lights emitted by the screen of our phone are harmful to us. They disturb our sleep. And who says lack of sleep, often also says dark circles eyes, dull and tired skin. To fight against these lights, we activate the "night shift" mode which helps to mitigate them.

4. Forgetting to brush your teeth

By forgetting to do it too often, you risk not having very good breath. During the day, our tooth enamel is protected by saliva. As we produce less at night, without the step of toothbrush and toothpaste, we quite simply risk ending up with cavities. So to counter the lack of saliva and the acidity of food, we brush our teeth every evening!

5. Drink or eat sweet

Popcorn in front of a series or, when it's hot, ice cream in bed, nothing better! But sugar is not the best solution right before sleep. Indeed, it tends to give us energy and it will end up preventing us from sleeping.

6. Stay awake late

The last episode in a series is always important and you can't really put it on pause. So we stay awake until 2 a.m. The next day, inevitably, we post a mine tired, red eyes, and of course, the dark circles are also at the rendezvous. Nothing glamorous! So we force ourselves and we cut Netflix at 11 p.m. maximum. A bad for a good: what better than fresh and rested skin to start the day?

7. Do not change your pillowcase regularly

Changing the sheets is never a pleasure. And for good reason, it is a real workout ! But you will be amazed to learn that thousands of little beasts and mites hide inside. In addition, if you do not remove your makeup properly in the evening, your pillowcase may have accumulated traces of mascara, foundation, blush … Come on, let's get motivated, and we get into the habit of changing our sheets every day. every 2 weeks!

8. Do not take care of his hands and nails

If you regularly go to a nail salon, you've probably heard the following advice several times: "Apply your hand and cuticle cream just before sleeping". These two products will take their time to moisturize our hands. Before going to bed, we do not hesitate to massage our hands and nails using a moisturizer ; for soft hands and beautiful nails!
