DECRYPTION – Some French groups publish excellent results and display their confidence for the future, even if there are grounds for concern.

French manufacturers have developed a real knowledge to pass between the drops. As the clouds accumulate, raising questions about global growth, several major groups published excellent results for the first half of 2022 on Thursday.

Starting with Schneider Electric, the French champion of energy efficiency, which posted growth in its turnover of 16.7%, and 10.1% at constant scope and exchange rates, and an increase of 11% in its adjusted net income. “We are publishing record results, which shows our ability to absorb hexogenic events”welcomes Jean-Pascal Tricoire, CEO of Schneider Electric.

A more electric world

Excellent performance, too, for Air Liquide, the industrial gases giant, which posted like-for-like revenue growth of 7.7% and operating profit of 17.4%. In chemicals, the Belgian Solvay saw its activity soar by 41.5% in the second quarter…
