On social networks, many same-sex couples have shared photos of their families. One way of responding to anti-PMA demonstrators, who marched the weekend of October 10 and 11.
Photos that exude happiness. On the weekend of October 10 and 11, demonstrators, responding to the call of the group of associations "Marchons Enfants", marched in several cities in France against the extension of the PMA. Opposed to the bioethics law, they notably protested against the opening of the assisted reproduction system for all women.
In response to the protesters, same-sex couples decided to share family photos on social media, as the Huff Post reported. Among them, Christophe Beaugrand or Marc-Olivier Fogiel. The host of TF1 has indeed unveiled an adorable photo of him and his son born by GPA on Twitter. “This weekend some marched against others (despite the risk of an epidemic in passing). On our side with @GhislainGerin we played with our son and we showed him that what really matters in life is love ", he wrote in the caption. For his part, Marc-Olivier Fogiel released a photo of his two daughters, while taking care to hide their faces. "What a beautiful day full of love", he commented.
"We are here, we exist"
On Instagram, other homoparental families followed suit, notably with the hashtag #PMApourtoutes. "Hello the demo for all, we are here, we exist", the @voguefabric account author wrote under a picture of herself with her partner and their daughter. "Know that we are happy and filled with love (not like you bearer of hate)", commented the moms of the @happy_andinlove account in the caption of their photo.
You all hope for a more inclusive society. In Europe, many countries such as Spain, Denmark, Portugal and Ireland allow assisted reproduction for single women and lesbian couples. France is thus late on this subject. The bioethics bill was passed in the National Assembly last August. It has yet to be considered in the Senate, but no date has been given yet.
