Discover all the films and series that will leave Prime Video in January 2024. The selection is simply Dantean with must-sees including a cult saga.
After the good news with the new Prime Video releases from January 2024, the bad news with the very (very) numerous withdrawals from the platform. Amazon is really not pretending this time and intends to remove dozens and dozens of feature films. The problem is that there is no real timetable for most of the programs that will be removed. It will be a bit haphazard and advises you not to hang around given the monuments that are in this month’s Prime Video departures list. And especially for horror/fantasy fans.

Prime Video movies removed in January 2024
If you don’t know what to do with your January evenings, Amazon has the solution for you: stay in front of Prime Video. Especially since there are plenty of absolutely unmissable films. Very great classics like Scarface, Back to the Future 2 & 3, ET, The Silence of the Lambs, And for a few dollars more or even a whole collection of old and recent James Bond feature films are leaving soon. For fans of horror and fantasy, Planet Terror is living its last days on the SVOD service since it will be unavailable on January 15. American Psycho, John Carpenter’s Halloween, Poltergeist 2 & 3, Amityville: House of the Devil, Carrie 2, The Witch and Crimson Peak will also disappear from Prime Video shortly.
In the Prime Video departures of January 2024, we also notice the removal of Cube. A very effective closed door which has gained reputation over the years. Without knowing why or how, a group of people are locked in a somewhat special and deadly labyrinth. Everyone will have to share their knowledge to try to move forward together… or not! We also find in the selection Tarantino with Reservoir Dogs and The Boulevard of Death, Jaws, Dune by David Lynch, King Kong by Peter Kong or even Snyder with the excellent Man of Steel.

Prime Video series removed in January 2024
The series departures from Prime Video are much fewer in number, but there is one television show that left its mark: Mad Men. “In New York in the 1960s, Don Draper was one of the big names in advertising. A master manipulator, he has enemies in his entourage who are awaiting his downfall” (via CinéSérie). An AMC production which often returns to the top of the best series of all time with The Sopranos, The Wire etc. On its web portal, Amazon specifies that all episodes 1 of the 7 seasons will leave Prime Video by January 15, which seems rather strange. When in doubt, if you’ve never watched Mad Men, maybe start now. Whenever all seasons are deleted on the date indicated…
The other series that appears in the Prime Video deletions for January 2024 is season 10 of New York Judicial Police. The first episode opens with the assassination of a female doctor in Central Park. A murder that will quickly take another turn after the discovery of a second body in the famous park of the city that never sleeps. For those who are unfamiliar, these are systematically independent stories that are told.
