From next January 1, landlords will no longer have the right to rent their accommodation if it is classified F or G according to the DPE. Despite this ban, 31% of owners intend to dispense with this obligation and continue to put it on the market as is, without carrying out the work necessary for energy renovation.
A third of landlords (31%) will therefore not comply with the Climate and Resilience Law of 2021 and will continue to rent their accommodation even if it is classified F or G the energy performance diagnosis (DPE), according to a survey carried out by the National Real Estate Federation (Fnaim).
According to this same study, 5% of donorsusing rental management want to take over the management. If the thresholds set by law will prevent real estate agents from offering these properties for rent, individuals will still be able to rent them out themselves. The law does prohibit the rental of thermal sieves, but it is legally impossible to prohibit the rental of a property, according to Capital.

If some will try to slip through the cracks, 26% of landlords plan to sell their property and 6% would opt for short-term rental, which is not subject to the rental ban.
