LG unveils two new pairs of wireless headphones. They integrate the latest technologies and in particular one of the best functions of Apple AirPods 3: 3D spatial audio.
LG may no longer be the player in the mobile world it once was with its premium smartphones, but the Korean brand still wants to accompany you everywhere with its headphones. So far, we can’t say we’ve been convinced by LG headphones, but their new headphones could be a game-changer. The firm unveils this morning its LG Tone Free T90 headphones, its new high-end headphones.
They are offered with a rechargeable box offering antibacterial cleaning by UV.
3D audio and noise cancellation
With its new Tone 90 headphones, LG promises to have thoroughly reviewed the design and audio quality. The brand is notably advancing new drivers wider, for better bass quality, the use of better materials to reduce vibrations and improve sound dynamics.
Above all, LG highlights the merits of the Dolby Head Tracking certification which should allow, like Apple’s AirPods 3 headphones, to offer real spatialized sound. The user should always feel like they are at the center of the soundstage. The LG T90 Tone are the first to benefit from this certification.on all devices and with all types of content“. Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Pro were previously entitled to the Dolby Head Tracking label, but the 360 audio mode was limited to Samsung Galaxy devices.
The manufacturer has also partnered with Qualcomm to follow the Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound brand specifications, which are supposed to guarantee more autonomy, reduced latency and better sound quality. Autonomy is announced at 9 hours for the headphones and up to 20 hours with the case, still without noise cancellation.
Active noise cancellation is also part of this pair of headphones that wants to tick all the boxes of a good high-end pair in 2022.
LG Tone Free Fit: for sports
LG also unveils headphones designed for sports activities and a little less for the quality of the audio experience: the LG Tone Free Fit. The design of the headphones is reworked to fit better in the ear even during intense exercise sessions.
The autonomy of the LG Tone Free Fit is given at 10 hours, up to 30 hours with the recharge offered by the box. The LG Tone Free Fit TF8 headphones can connect to treadmills offering an LG Plug & Wireless connection.
The new range of LG Tone headphones will be available from the end of August. LG hasn’t announced a pricing schedule yet. We may have to wait for the IFA to find out more.
