Leaks about the iPhone 16 continue to grow. This time, these are mockup images, models used by hull manufacturers, which have just finished on the web. The opportunity to discover the changes made to the design of Apple’s next smartphones.
After mockups of the iPhone SE 4, it’s the turn of mockups of the iPhone 16 to say a little indiscreet hello on the web. As you may know, rumors regarding the Apple brand’s next smartphones have multiplied in recent weeks. These leaks highlighted several expected changes to the design of the devicesas well as some new hardware features.
However, Sonny Dickson, a renowned leaker, has just shared mockups of the iPhone 16 on X, namely dummy models generally used by hull manufacturers to custom design their products ahead of the launch of future smartphones.

Thus, we notice in particular with these images that the new Capture button will be well and truly present across the entire rangenamely the iPhone 16, the 16 Plus, the 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It is actually present on the right edge of the four devices. While it should be used to quickly access certain camera features, previous leaks have also claimed that this capture button will have a tactile surface.
In this way, users could trigger certain commands by performing specific gestures, such as zooming in and out or focusing. These mockups also confirm the integration of the Action button, one of the best new features of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, on all iPhone 16s. It is housed on the left side of the devices.
Furthermore, these models also tend to confirm the new arrangement of the photo sensors adopted by Apple on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. Thus, we actually notice that the different objectives are now vertically aligned. This would therefore be a step backwards for the manufacturer, which had already adopted this configuration on previous models such as the iPhone 12 or the iPhone X.
Finally, the photos shared by the leaker seem to support previous theories on the larger size of the iPhone 16. The iPhone 16 Pro looks slightly larger than the iPhone 16, and the same goes for the iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Plus. As a reminder, leaks announced that the iPhone 16 Pro would increase to 6.3″ (compared to 6.1), while the iPhone 16 Pro Max would increase to 6.9″ compared to 6.7″. Of course, as always with these kinds of images, you should take this information with a grain of salt.
