Sennheiser has launched a new range of headphones, at a more affordable price than the Momentum models with its new Accentum Wireless.
In the wireless headset segment, Sennheiser has so far stood out with its Momentum range. However, the models are offered at relatively high prices, which position them against market leaders Bose and Sony. To stand out, the German manufacturer has therefore decided to launch, this Tuesday, the first model of a new range of noise reduction headphones, the Sennheiser Accentum Wireless.
Sennheiser’s idea is to take up the philosophy of the high-end Momentum models, but at a lower price, without neglecting functionality or sound quality.
aptX HD, Multipoint Bluetooth and USB Audio
Concretely, the Sennheiser Accentum Wireless is a headset equipped with two dynamic 37 mm transducers and compatible with SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX HD codecs. Still on the wireless audio side, the manufacturer offers here a Bluetooth 5.2 connection with multipoint management to connect the headset at the same time to a smartphone and a laptop PC for example. However, connectivity does not stop at wireless, but also goes through the USB-C connector.
Used for charging, the connector will also be used to pass audio via USB-C, like what the Momentum 4 Wireless already offered, but also the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 or the Beats Studio Pro. Enough to allow you to enjoy your music without audio compression while taking advantage of the DAC and the processing offered by Sennheiser.
Active noise reduction has not been forgotten since the Sennheiser Accentum Wireless is equipped with a hybrid noise reduction system. It can also rely on two microphones for capturing voices during voice calls, as well as specific processing to reduce wind noise.
Finally, Sennheiser has not skimped on the autonomy of its headphones since the integrated 800 mAh battery is supposed to allow it to operate for 50 hours with noise reduction activated. Fast wired charging would allow you to go from 10 minutes to five hours of battery life.
The Sennheiser Accentum Wireless is available for pre-order starting this Tuesday at a price of 179.90 euros. It will be commercially available in black version from October 4 and at the end of November for the white model.
