These parents apologize to their neighbors for their baby's crying … their letter is hilarious and goes viral

A couple of young parents, obviously taking their parenthood with a lot of self-deprecation and humor, sent a letter of apology to their neighbors for their baby's crying.

While it is true that the cries of a baby (who is not ours) can be particularly unbearable, we would still like to have neighbors like them. In the United States, the Wards family recently caused a sensation on the Internet, after sending a letter marked with the seal of humor. Realizing that their baby’s incessant crying could annoy their neighborhood, the parents anticipated by offering them a written apology. “If you hear the crying, pray for me and know that I too cry and go mad ”, quipped the mother of the family.

Relayed on Twitter, Monday, December 14, by a neighbor who received a copy of the letter, their little text quickly went viral. Over a million people have retweeted it. The funniest part is probably when the Wards family claims they will compensate their neighbors with … tequila. "This is cheap tequila, but it will calm your nerves, this has been tested and approved by ourselves", she wrote.

In full test of the Ferber method

In the letter, it is notably explained to the neighbors that the parents will start using the Ferber method with their baby the same day, and this for a period of 3 to 4 days. What does this method consist of? Created by an American pediatrician, Richard Ferber, it aims to let her child cry when he is put to bed, so that he can find his sleep pattern on his own.

Opinions differ as to its effectiveness and some even agree that it would be dangerous for the physical and psychological development of the child. In the meantime, the Wards family will still give it a try, and we hope to have another such letter to see the results! “Keep us in your prayers and turn on the TV sound”, she concluded.
