On TikTok, Internet users have recreated a frequent argument between parents and teenagers over clothing.
Parents and teens don’t always understand each other. In particular on the dress style… which can create certain conflicts at home.

On TikTok, a mother laughed at a little argument she had with her daughter about her outfit. In a hilarious video, Amy Sloan and her husband have indeed decided to imitate their teenager by recreating her look of the day … since the latter refuses to change and declares “that everyone wears that”. They then put on a crop top sweatshirt and shorts and tell her they’re ready to go out like that too. Embarrassed, their daughter (imitated by the mother) finally decides to change her outfit. A funny sequence in which many parents of teenagers must have recognized themselves.

Obviously, this is a humorous video about parent / teen conflict. No real judgment is made on the dress code. Moreover, crop tops and shorts should not be considered inappropriate for teenagers. It’s time to stop sexualizing young girls’ bodies.
