These people who said who they were going to vote for, and sometimes bitterly regretted it!

The candidates for the 2022 presidential election have been able to count on the support of certain personalities. In the past, stars have sometimes regretted showing their support publicly.

The stars were rare to reveal which candidate they were going to vote for in the first round of the 2022 presidential election. On RTL, Renaud had announced that he was going to slip a Philippe Poutou ballot into the ballot box: “The first round, I choose the most far left candidate almost an anar”. For his part, Jacques Dutronc had opted for Fabien Roussel, the candidate of the Communist Party. “I made a proxy but I know the people there well and they are not going to vote what I asked for, which is Roussellement”explained, again on RTL, the singer.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon is the candidate who has been able to count on the most support from personalities in this 2022 campaign. Blanche Gardin, Anny Duperey and Corinne Masiero had signed an appeal in favor of the candidate of France Insoumise a few days before the first round of the presidential election. As for Elie Semoun, he opted for Emmanuel Macron, “a profoundly admirable man”. This support for the outgoing president has earned some setbacks for the comedian who has received insulting messages on social networks. “People feel attacked and then people feel despised”he admitted on TF1.

Faudel regrets his support for Nicolas Sarkozy, Josiane Balasko that of François Hollande

In the past, like Elie Semoun, some celebrities have regretted publicly showing their support for a presidential candidate. Johnny Hallyday, Doc Gyneco or even Faudel have all acknowledged that their support for Nicolas Sarkozy in 2007 hurt their respective careers. As for Yannick Noah, Josiane Balasko or Geneviève de Fontenay, they voted for François Hollande in 2012 before expressing some doubts about the policy of the socialist president during his five-year term.
