DECRYPTION – Without waiting for the pension reform, they are working to change the image of the over 55s with companies.

“It’s simple, since the start of the pension reform, I have two sales representatives: Olivier Dussopt and Élisabeth Borne”, laughs Jean-Emmanuel Roux. Five years ago, this former computer scientist created Teepy Job, a job search site dedicated to people aged 50 and over. From the launch of its platform, senior candidates flocked. But on the business side, the reception ranges from skepticism to outright incomprehension. “At first, some employers were ironic: “candidates, if you want them, we’ll give them to you”“, he explains, remembering certain structures that want to get rid of their seniors rather than hire them… Only sectors that are really in tension, such as construction and catering, dare to take the plunge.

A time put on hold during the confinements, the start-up starts again on the hats of wheels once the crisis is over. “All companies had frozen their recruitment for a year and a half. There were many shortages at the time.explains Jean-Emmanuel Roux.
