Adele Neuhauser, actress
Crime scene inspector at the side of Harald Krassnitzer? Sounded like the typical sidekick role to me. But when I first saw Adele Neuhauser in her role as Bibi Fellner at the Vienna Tatort, I was not enthusiastic about Krassnitzer (Sorry!), But about her!
Why I like Adele Neuhauser so much as an actress (and especially in this role): She doesn’t seem vain at all to me, but instead human, self-confident, natural and convincing.
Meanwhile I know that Neuhauser can probably understand the struggle of a dry alcoholic (her role Bibi Fellner) – because she too had to cope with psychological problems in the past. She made her first suicide attempt at the age of ten, the last (as far as known) at 21.
And why is she my role model now? It’s simple: In Adele Neuhauser I don’t just see a strong, self-confident woman and a great actress. How she managed to get the curve from the lowest of all human low points (the point of not wanting to live anymore) and now also other people (at least me) in their job, with their personality and their style excited and inspired – I can only say: Chapeau, respect and thank you, dear Ms. Neuhauser!
