These weird parenting tips that really work

Yes, the life of parents is not always a smooth river. Over time (and the stupidities of our little monsters), we discover unsuspected (and sometimes strange) ways to make everyday life easier.

As cool parents, we often have plenty of tips to keep our kids entertained and to make our lives easier at the same time. If you're running out of ideas, we suggest you dive into this list with even more ingenious tips. Don't thank us!

1. Peanut butter removes sticker residue

Who has never faced an unsightly piece of sticker? No matter how delicate it is, it's impossible to remove it without leaving glue residue on the wall, table or even your child's book. Well, know that you just need to use peanut butter!

2. Cake wrappers to save you from dripping lollipops

The youngest (or not) love all kinds of candy, especially lollipops. Unfortunately, these sweets melt and make our little terrors drool. To avoid unexpected dripping, place a wrap on your child's lap so that the drops fall directly inside. And voila !

3. Vicks on the feet to stop the nighttime cough?

Ah the night cough, impossible not to pass. Grumbling, tired and at the end of their tether, the children have a hard time finding Morpheus' arms. To soothe your little one, you can take a small dab of Vicks and rub it on his feet. Note, the use of Vicks is prohibited for children under two years of age.

4. Blow bubbles on the toilet to make the big commission

If your child is reluctant or has trouble doing the big errand, keep a few bubbles in the bathroom and have them blow them out while sitting on the toilet bowl.

Not only is this a great distraction, but blowing on the bubbles requires your child to push on their muscles. Coincidentally, these are the same muscles that are mobilized to poop!

5. Oats to stop itching

Who says chickenpox, says big depression, especially because of the itching. To relieve your child, you can fill your cloth with oatmeal and then tie it around your bathtub faucet.

6. The sun removes stubborn stains

When it comes to stubborn stains (always orange, otherwise it's no fun …) that you can't take off baby's clothes, the sun can wash them off. Of course, it takes a sunny day for this to work. Just hang out your laundry in the sun and wait for the stains to turn white.

7. Use a "special monster" spray for more peaceful hours of sleep

Does your child often tell you about a monster hidden under his bed that prevents him from sleeping? That's good, so are we! To help him sleep like a grown-up, you can make a "monster" spray with water. Thanks to this trick, your child will never be afraid again and you will look like a superheroine!

8. Adhesive tape to calm blisters on the feet?

Children can quickly suffer from blisters on their feet. To remove them, without using any nasty chemicals, just place pieces of duct tape over the bulbs. Then remove the tape and soak the foot in water. Let the wart air dry overnight, then add a new piece of duct tape in the morning.

If you repeat this operation, the blister should eventually disappear. Be careful, this is not a quick process – you'll have to stick to it to the letter.

9. Not even afraid of the bath!

Hair washing can be a cause of conflict for many young children, especially with shampoo getting into the eyes. To prevent your toddler from screaming and crying, offer to hold a damp washcloth over his eyes, while shampooing and rinsing his hair.

10. Time saving tip

This technique is not only good for parents, it can also save you several precious minutes. When you machine dry towels or clothes, add a dry towel to the machine and you will find that everything dries much faster.

11. Bread helps erase fingerprints from painted walls

Younger kids love to stick their sticky little fingers all over the house walls. To prevent streaks from tarnishing your paint, you can clean the fingerprints with a piece of white bread.

12. Toy stores that do not sell toys

To avoid endless whims in the toy departments, we recommend a technique. To avoid "I want mom" every two seconds, just tell your kids that the toys on the shelves are fake toys. The real toys are actually found at Santa Claus, from whom you will have to order. The only condition is to be well behaved throughout the year!

13. Clean feet

The beach, the sun, the clear water, it is clearly a dream. But let's not forget the sand that sticks under your feet, a real sore, let's face it. To avoid ending up with sand all over the place, you can simply apply a little talcum powder under your child's wet feet. To remove everything, you just need to brush it off.

14. Aim in the crosshairs

To teach little boys to pee in the toilet and especially to aim well, you can put a ping-pong ball in the bowl. Thus, your child will concentrate as much as possible on the ball and not on the walls or even the ceiling (yes, you read that correctly…) But warn your guests before they use your toilet!
