In the pages of the new edition of the magazine Society this Thursday, March 2, our colleagues mentioned disturbing track on the Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès affair.
It is a case that marked France. Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès is suspected of having killed his wife and four children in 2011 in their house in Nantes. Since April of the same year, the man has not appeared. Society magazine had published an in-depth investigation on the drama and spoke about this case again this Thursday, March 2 in its 200th issue. Our colleagues evoke this time a strange piset….
Indeed, a person who is part of a presbytery located in La Roche-sur-Yon, contacted the journalists. The woman named J in question wrote a three-page letter to convey her testimony. “I saw it. Xavier Dupont de Ligonnes was there in my churchduring a funeral mass for which I was responsible, a few days after the start of his alleged run.” The source had possession of the elements “oddly believable” such as the date of the facts but also other evidence against him.

A serious lead for the gendarmes
This is not the first time that this track has been considered by the police and brought to light by journalists. Numerous testimonies have already come from religious circles. This was the case in 2018, when a report was issued for “an individual resembling Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès which was at the Saint-Désert Notre-Dame de Pitié monastery, near Roquebrune-sur-Argens”in the Var.
If the track had been taken seriously by the gendarmes, it was not the father of the family. But they “were never able to ‘close the trail’, and it may well have been Ligonnès who was seen“, revealed the journalists. To this day, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès remains untraceable…
