At CES in Las Vegas, the machines exhibited by the Chinese Robosen caused a sensation, marking one of the strong trends of this 2023 edition.

Ideally placed in the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Robosen stand had everything to seduce CES visitors. The firm born in Shenzhen on the land of Huawei (and which incidentally has branches in Beijing, Los Angeles and soon in Europe and Japan) proudly demonstrated its particularly amazing little articulated robots. Thus honoring what was one of the trends of this Consumer Electronics Show.

Real-life robots

Optimus Prime, legendary commander of the Transformers team, is Robosen’s flagship robot. The Chinese start-up gave us a little solo demonstration, quite impressive, ranging from the complete transformation to a few push-ups performed without difficulty by the leader of the Autobots. But Robosen’s machines were also programmed to launch into a group choreography that clearly had an effect on the public, as our camera passed by.

Robosen also took advantage of CES to present the latest addition to its range, which is none other than the Buzz Lightyear robot, icon of Toy Story who recently got his own movie. Interactive and programmable, this ingenious 42 cm robot is equipped with a real intelligent conversation system, which works thanks to voice recognition. Buzz is powered by more than 50 microchips and seems larger than life to us, no doubt thanks to its 23 high-precision servomotors, which make it particularly mobile. During its pre-order phase, the Buzz robot was available for $749. It should be marketed at a price of 999 dollars. Count 699 dollars for the Optimus Prime robot.
