This story reported by the DailyMail is that of Len Allbrighton79 years old, and Jeanette Steer, 78 years old. These two Brits are both from the Isle of Wight, in the south of England. They fall madly in love in 1963 during an internship for their nursing studies at the hospital holy mary. At the time, Len Allbrighton was 19 and Jeanette Steer was 18. After a few months of relationship, the young man at the time had asked for the hand of his sweetheart. A request she happily accepted. Immediately after this request, Len Allbrighton leaves settle in australia with the hope that his fiancée will join him.
Unfortunately, Jeanette Steer’s parents decided otherwise. Since legal majority was set at 21, they used their vet for’prohibit travel to their daughter. Separate road, the two lovebirds had to build their lives far from each other. For Len Allbrighton, he got married in Australia and had three children before divorcing. After which he returned to England at Stevenage to work as a nurse. For Jeanette Steer, she stayed on the Isle of Wight and married to a naval officer and had two children.
True love doesn’t care about the passage of time
It was in 2015 that Len Allbrighton decided to find Jeanette Steer. They found each other, but Jeanette, who was married, did not want follow through on the relationship. It was only when her husband died in 2017 that she decided to date Len again. The couple decides to live together in Stevenage, in 2018. In 2022, this man still madly in love with his sweetheart reiterates its request. The wedding took place February 11, 2023 with all the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
