They give the name of an internet provider to their baby

It's an unusual story. Incredible but true, Swiss parents gave the name of an internet provider to their daughter. The reason ? Be entitled to free wifi for 18 years.

On October 16, 2020, the Twifi company posted an amazing ad on Facebook. The Swiss internet provider was ready to offer 18 years of free wifi on one condition: you must give your first child a name similar to that of Twifi. If it's a girl you should call her Twifia and if it's a boy you should call her Twifus. By attaching a birth certificate, the company provides all these years of internet connection to the couple who would have taken up the challenge.

According to Capital, a couple of parents would have fallen under the spell of the first name Twifia. That’s why they decided to name their daughter like that. If they wished to remain anonymous, they confided in the newspaper on this choice of first name: "This name means connection, an everlasting bond! There are much worse names. And the more we pronounce 'Twifia', the more we like it."

Something promised, something due: the happy parents will benefit from free wifi until 2038. The money saved will go directly to the bank account of their daughter who, at her 18 years old, can change her first name if she wishes. His parents want this money to finance his studies, his license or a car.
