Following Florence Mendez’s accusations, comedian Seb Mellia chose to remain silent for the first few days before posting a written message on his Instagram page on January 22. He then wrote in the caption of an entirely white publication: “My silence is not a confession. It took me a while to react because I was overwhelmed by what was happening to me, shocked and also devastated.» He begins before adding: “If I may have offended some of my partners in the past, and unintentionally, through inappropriate behavior, I deeply regret it and apologize to them.
